Heya!
My name is Savannah and I'm the software developer turned crochet artist/owner of 99% Coffee!
I started 99% Coffee in 2021 as a personal blog, inspired by my love of all things coffee and crochet - from lattes to just a regular ol' cup of coffee and specialty drinks, there's always something new to try!
I started my crochet business journey with home goods and wearables, but quickly learned that plushies is what I'm meant to make - you can still see some of my early designs on my blog as free patterns and on my shop!
When i'm not crocheting or working on 99% Coffee, you can find me working my 9-5 job, shiny hunting in Pokemon, or raiding in FFXIV!
The Team at 99% Coffee
99% Coffee is run, for the most part, solely by Savannah (that's me!), but there are a few people (and pets) that do help keep me sane running this small business!
Savannah Guerrero
I am the sole crocheter, marketer, all-hat wearing owner of 99% Coffee!
Some fun facts:
- I am American with close family roots in Mexico and Poland - I love my heritage!
- I graduated college in 2017 with a major in Computer Science (Mobile Application Design & Development) and a minor in Japanese.
- I went to Japan in 2016 on a study abroad program.
- I speak English, a conversational level of Japanese, and can read Spanish (though speaking is a whole other story).
- My favorite game series is pokemon!
- I am a firm believer of the "Adopt Don't Shop" movement.
Macchiato "Macchi" Guerrero
The menace behind all my stress and worries here at home - Macchi is my little baby and he definitely knows it!
Some fun facts about Macchi:
- He LOVES turkey and will go feral for it.
- His favorite toy is his rainbow worm and any wool all he can get a hold of - even our dryer balls!
- He's a rescue! He was found as a stray kitten in Chicago by my cousin in 2023 and has been part of our family ever since.
- Macchi is a nosey boy and can be found watching our neighbors in the most obvious way possible.
Matt "The Bf"
You won't see him in many photos or videos - but Matt is a huge help (and the muscle) at 99% Coffee! He's also one of my greatest supporters
The Fam
My family has grown quite large over the past few years - with new marriages and siblings added, I can't possibly list all of them, but they are some of my greatest supporters alongside my household and I couldn't ask for a better support system!
Sometimes at in-person events, you can find some of my family members helping out or visiting my booth to show their support and walking around to support other local, small business owners and makers!

Find me in-person at markets! I post a schedule at the beginning of every month with a list of my in-person events that I'll be attending that month.

June 2021
99% Coffee Launches with my First Free Crochet Pattern
June 2021 was the first time I published a blog post with a free pattern!
This was the start of my free crochet patterns on the blog - I love being able to provide free resources for other makers that have been so amazing in supporting me in my journey!
June 2024
My First In-Person Maker's Market
This was when 99% Coffee really took off - with the start of my first maker's market!
It was a fantastic day (aside from the rain and major wind storm we had later in the day), but it started 99% Coffee on the path that it's currently going down.
July 2023
Joined my first Consignment Store!
July 2023 started 99% Coffee on a consignment store journey that's been absolutely fantastic to this very day!
After approaching Joni at 35:35 Maker's Collective about the possibility of joining in with the store's move to a larger building, I was offered a spot in the store as an Amigurumi artist!
April 2024
First Anime Convention as an Artist Alley Vendor
99% Coffee attended it's first Anime Convention as an Artist Alley in April 2024 at Karoshi-Con (just days before a wrist surgery).
This was not only a great experience but also one of my favorites still to attend year after year!
October 2025
Joined my 2nd Consignment Store
In October 2025, I signed a contract with a second consignment store in the Dekalb area!
2025 and Beyond
The Future of 99% Coffee
With 2025 nearing it's midpoint, I'm focusing on making my brand more recognizable, and focusing on what really makes me happy.
From mystical creatures and adorable, cuddly kitties, expect to see a lot more of what I'm excited to make and less of things that don't excite me! Keep up with my makes on Instagram for the latest projects!
